February 1, 2010 – On January 15, 2010, members of the Political Security Directorate in Aleppo arrested Munîra Henan Hemo (b. 1967), married and mother of six children. The Democratic Union Party (PYD) activist was arrested during preparations for a celebration to mark the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Yekîtiya Star, the women’s organization of the PYD.
